Abstract
The elevated settlement of Montedoro (close to Senigallia) is one of the most significant on the Marchigian coast. Located in the North of Ancona, the various features of the site have been investigated during several excavations carried out in the 1980s. Grave No. 13 is one of the few tombs containing Attic Pottery and it is isolated and set in a prominent position in respect of the nearby necropolis. The tomb was placed within the filling of the defensive ditch near the main entrance of the ancient settlement. The Attic Vases presented here are a black figured on a white-grounf oinochoe and a black-figured kylix, both datable at the beginning of the fifth century B.C.
