Abstract
We present a theoretical investigation on the resonant tunneling effec t in an AlAs double-barrier structure with a AlGaAs central well havin g a special parabolic geometry. The results are similar to those obtai ned in a transverse resonant magnetotunneling experiment (with a magne tic field parallel to the interfaces of a square well).
