The heavy fermion system CeCu6 does not order magnetically down to 20
mK. We report measurements of AC susceptibility, resistivity and magne
toresistance on (Ce1-xTbx)Cu-6 compounds. The compound with x =0.5 sho
ws antiferromagnetic ordering at 6.8 K. The temperature dependence of
zero field resistivity shows a minimum in the temperature range 40-60
K for 0. 1 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.5. The Kond
o coherence peak disappears even for x = 0.1. The magnetoresistance st
udy at 4.2 K up to fields of 4.5 T shows a negative magnetoresistance
which decreases with increasing x.
