T. Yuki et al., EFFECT OF HYDROSTATIC-PRESSURE ON DIELECTRIC BEHAVIOR AND PHASE-TRANSITION IN FERROELECTRIC POLYMERS, JPN J A P 1, 37(9B), 1998, pp. 5372-5374
effect of hydrostatic pressure on the dielectric behavior of ferroelec
tric copolymers of vinylidene fluoride and trifluoroethylene is discus
sed to elucidate the roles of interm olecular and intramolecular inter
actions in a ferroelectric- paraelectric phase transition of the polym
ers. The phase transition temperature and temperature hysteresis of th
e phase transition are influenced by the hydrostatic pressure. It is c
oncluded that these effects of hydrostatic pressure result from its se
lective working on the intermolecular interaction.
