Insightoriented psychotherapy-training makes a division between ''repo
rting'' and ''non-reporting'' institutes. The non-reporting quality of
an institute creates specific problems in the concepts of supervision
: are they part, of the non-reporting or of the reporting system? The
author describes conflicts and tensions in psychoanalytic training sup
ervisions. He develops a working hypothesis about the role of narzissm
in this field and about mirror phenomena in the reaction of superviso
r and supervisand connecting with successful or unsuccessful work with
the candidates first patients.
