Three applications of psychodynamic organizational consulting are desc
ribed: First in a firm, in which a past event continued to hinder the
work process up into the present. Revealing unconscious communication
structures provided relief and allowed progress within the entire syst
em. Second clarifying workers' relationships through psychodynamic-sys
temic coaching increased awareness for the problem of joint rivalry wh
ich had hindered exchange of information. Third demonstrating in a fam
ily firm the unconscious hierarchy phantasies of father and son helped
solve a succession conflict and improve the business' structure.
