Abstract
A novel approach is proposed for reconstruction of the temporal charac teristics of radiation from the results of nonlinear-optical measureme nts. A description is given of an algorithm for the processing of a tw o-dimensional set of data, based on inversion of the Gabor transform. This algorithm makes it possible to reconstruct arbitrary temporal sig nals, including multipulse signals, in the absence of any a priori inf ormation on their profile.
