In this paper results of molecular-dynamics simulations of a quenched
anisotropic XY model are presented. At late stages an algebraic growth
law satisfying the classical Lifshitz-Allen-Cahn law has been found.
Thus the results in the present paper are in agreement with the result
s found in Monte Carlo simulations, hence suggesting that the Monte Ca
rlo time measure is related linearly to real time at late stages. Furt
hermore, at early stages an exponential growth of the ordered states h
as been found-in agreement with the linearized Cahn-Hilliard equation.
