The concept of impedance matching of an infinite microstrip patch arra
y antenna over wide scan angles by means of a coupling circuit in the
feed network is investigated. Computed values of input impedance as a
function of scan angles were used as input to an optimization program,
which minimized the reflection coefficient magnitude over a range of
scan angles. The output of the program is the line lengths and couplin
g susceptances in the E-plane and H-plane. Preliminary studies show th
