Biotechnology in a globalizing economy involves the participation of a
ll countries-industrialized, developing and least developed, in the in
terconnected web of trade liberalization in closed and open-market eco
nomies. The various geopolitical or geocultural regions show striking

he safeguarding of intellectual property rights. The generally held vi

balizing economy is, seemingly, in need of revision.
