Rj. Martin et al., SINGLE-IMPLANT SEGMENTAL OSTEOTOMY - A CASE-REPORT, The International journal of oral and maxillofacial implants, 13(5), 1998, pp. 710-712
This case report describes the use of a single-implant osteotomy in re
positioning a significantly malaligned, osseointegrated endosseous imp
lant. This technique represents a modification of the single-tooth ost
eotomy that has been used for many years to reposition the natural den
tal unit. It provides the dental practitioner with a treatment alterna
tive that is safe, cost-effective, and predictable. The goals of the p
rocedure, the surgical technique employed, and the clinical result are
presented.
