Abstract
A small amount of B2O3 was added to the (Bi, Pb)(2)Sr2Ca2Cu3Ox in silv er-sheathed (Bi2223/Ag) tapes. Our results showed that B2O3 addition c an accelerate the formation of the high-T-c phase (T-c approximate to 110 K), enhance flux pinning strength and decrease weak links. The tra nsport properties of the tapes, therefore, were improved by B2O3 addit ion.
