CONTINUOUS UNWRAPPED PHASE

A standard Fourier transform algorithm computes the phase modulo-2 pi, the principal values of the phase at sampled frequencies. Conventiona l methods to obtain the unwrapped or continuous phase curve are based on those principal values. Instead of unwrapping the principal values of the phase, this paper presents an alternative method based on the i ntegration of phase derivatives, which precisely gives a continuous un wrapped phase.
