Radical changes in nurse education, accompanied by advances in library
and information services (LIS), set against a background of ever-expa
nding nursing literature and information, have favoured the developmen
t of good practices in curriculum development and student-centred lear
ning. This paper discusses the experience at Keels University oi enhan
ced collaborative effort between curriculum planners and LIS staff, an
d aims to show how LIS can facilitate student learning and contribute
to curriculum planning and delivery, quality resource provision, evalu
ation processes and life-long learning.
