Abstract
Significant evidence of human presence has been confirmed since the Prehistoric epoch in the Pescara river Valley (Abruzzi region). In particular, evidence concerning the historical growth and distribution of population during the second millennium BC will be taken into consideration by means of four time-charts corresponding to the conventional chronological partition of the Bronze Age. The identified sites, divided into settlements, sepulchral areas, caves and isolated findings, are sufficiently numerous to delineate the evolution of the occupation strategies of the valley, pointing out the fulfilment of a logically selected settlement process. This began during the Ancient Bronze Age, completed and consolidated during the Recent and Late Bronze Age.
