Abstract
Colors in a scene change under different illuminants. By adopting mode ls that are used to describe human color constancy, the maximum-spectr al-value method is proposed to estimate the illuminant from the maximu m distribution of reflected lights in an image. From the experimental results, the proposed method recovers colors well with different illum inants.
