Abstract
Fourteen epiphytic species, including a new species Lecanora hispanica , of the Lecanora subfusca and L. pallida groups have been reported ma inly for the Spanish Iberian Peninsula, only one record is from the Ca nary Islands. The secondary metabolic compounds of each species were a nalysed using thin layer chromatography. Ecology and distribution of t he species are briefly outlined.
