Abstract
Synchronization of chaotic systems may occur only when the largest con ditional Lyapunov exponent of the driven system is negative. The synch ronization with positive conditional Lyapunov exponents reported in a recent paper [Phys. Rev. E 56, 2272 (1997)] is a combined result of th e contracting region of the system and the finite precision in compute r simulations. [S1063-651X(98)05910-8].
