Abstract
Methylphosphonate and various substituted phosphoramidate alpha-anomer ic oligonucleotides were synthesized. We have investigated the chirali ty effect of the internucleoside linkage and the influence of steric h indrance around phosphorus on hybridization properties of these new al pha-analogs.
