Abstract
Venomous creatures have always had a peculiar fascination in both real -life and fiction and the nature of their venoms, how they act, and ho w they can be neutralized are intrinsically important fields of resear ch. In recent years, however, interest has extended beyond this into t he development of new protein and peptide substances of therapeutic im portance.
