K. Buttner et Mr. Pennington, INFRARED BEHAVIOR OF THE GLUON PROPAGATOR - CONFINING OR CONFINED, Physical review. D. Particles and fields, 52(9), 1995, pp. 5220-5228
The possible infrared behavior of the gluon propagator is studied anal
ytically, using the Schwinger-Dyson equations, in both the axial and t
he Landau gauge. The possibility of a gluon propagator less singular t
han 1/k(2) when k(2) --> 0 is investigated and found to be inconsisten
t, despite claims to the contrary, whereas an infrared enhanced one is
consistent. The implications for confinement are discussed.
