Abstract
The numerical determination of quasinormal mode frequencies is notorio usly difficult for long-ranged potentials. Of particular interest are potentials with exponential tails, for which direct numerical integrat ion fails. The reason for such a failure is analysed, and an effective numerical algorithm is developed. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
