Abstract
This work presents the first systematic treatment of the electronic st ructure of ZnxCdyHg1-x-yTe on the basis of the pseudopotential method. Dependences on the concentration of the energy bands, effective masse s, alloy scattering potentials and the band offsets are calculated. It is shown that addition of Zn leads to new interesting peculiarities a s compared with the well-known CdxHg1-xTe compounds.
