The light-induced absorption coefficient Delta alpha and the light-int
ensity dependence of the photorefractive parameters known as the effec
tive trap density N-E, the mobility-recombination product mu tau(r) an
d the photoconductivity sigma ph have been measured for four nominally
pure BaTiO3 crystals. The qualitative correlation between Delta alpha
, N-E, (mu tau(r))(-1) and sigma(ph) has been revealed. The results ar
e explained by the two-center model of deep and shallow traps.
