Abstract
A new general synthetic route is reported for dinuclear species of the type [(L(t))2RuL(b)Ru(L)'2]4+ or [(L(t))2RuL(b)Os(L(t)')2]4+ (L(t), L (t)' = bidentate polypyridyl ligands, L(t), not-equal L(t)'; L(b) = br idging ligand), together with the chromatographic separation and chara cterization of the diastereoisomeric pairs of the dimers.
