S. Philippot et al., ANALYSIS OF MICROPOROSITY AND SETTING OF REACTIVE POWDER CONCRETE BY PROTON NUCLEAR-RELAXATION, Magnetic resonance imaging, 16(5-6), 1998, pp. 515-519
The proton spin-lattice relaxation measured at several frequencies lea
ds to a resolved distribution of four T-li for reactive powder concret
e (RPC). The typical T-li frequency dependences are quantitatively int
erpreted by a biphasic fast exchange model and a proton nuclear relaxa
tion of hydrated paramagnetic ions at the surface of the pores. This l
eads to an estimation of the pore sizes. We present the first applicat
ion of this nuclear relaxation method to follow in !;itu the kinetics
of the hydration and setting of such material. (C) 1998 Elsevier Scien
