Abstract
The effect of thermal ageing on the tensile creep of poly (vinyl chlor ide) loaded with different types of stabilizers was tested under diffe rent applied stresses. The steady-state creep rate showed a dependence on the magnitude of mechanical stress, ageing time and the type of st abilizer. The steady-state creep parameters such as the activation vol ume, stress-sensitivity value and the viscosity were also affected by the above variables. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Limited.
