Abstract
An important class of two-dimensional Markov chains with discrete time , called quasi-Toeplitz Markov chains, is introduced. These types of c hains yield an adequate description of the operation of an extraordina rily broad class of models of information transmission processes in mo dern information computer networks A sufficient existence condition fo r the stationary distribution is proved and a linear functional equati on for the generating vector function of this distribution is obtained
