Abstract
Existing all order proofs of the finiteness of the quantized Chern-Sim ons theory in the Landau gauge are extended to certain more general no ncovariant gauges. The relevant additional supersymmetry also holds in that case with the antighost equation playing the usual role. The sol ution of the consistency problem of possible quantum corrections is qu ite involved in the noncovariant case, yielding nevertheless a very si mple solution.
