Abstract
The dynamic effective charges are calculated for ions in ferroelectric PbTiO3 and BaTiO3 crystals and in quantum SrTiO3 and KTaO3 ferroelect ric crystals. It is shown that only the charges of oxygen ions can be reliably determined from phonon spectra. The dynamic charges of ions i n ferroelectrics are less than those in quantum ferroelectrics.
