In the following article the Author investigates the relationship between security and fundamental right of the persons,with a particular attention to the new and increasingly used electronic surveillance's tools,to the right to remain anonymous over the Internet(often hard-fought by the Governments in their fighting against terrorism,especially after the 21 september 2001 events)and to the related "oblivion right"The right to the protection of personal information has turned to an essential instrument to safeguard freedom and dignity of the persons,in an international context in which,more and more,Governments tend to restrict"old right of freedom"in the name of social security.
