Legal distribution systems of digital music,that are asserting also in Italy,do not bring frequently the indications of paternity of the author and of the composer of the work.The author discusses the theme of the protection of the right to claim authorship of the work of the authors and of composers in the digital distribution of musical contents,underlining the existing differences with the material distribution and illustrating the attemptable actions to protection of such right.The elaborate represents also the occasion for a more wide reflection on the actuality of the protection of the right to claim authorship of the work in the information society,in particular with regard to the freedom of expression and to the protection of the authors'personality.
