Crittografia e diritto:l'evoluzione storica della crittografia.

This Article is part of a wider work,which aim is to describe the relationship between cryptography and law.In this first section,the analysis arises from the etymological origin and development of the term "cryptography",to better define and mark out the differences between cryptography,cryptanalysis and steganography.Criptography and steganography are examined by the Author also in order to clarify the essential distinction between strategical and tactical cryptography.The study faces then the several application field of cryptography,from the military purposes of Caesar's cipher book to modern business-oriented uses related to digital signature and pay TVs.Finally,the Author analyses the technical developments of cryptography,with a particular attention to its three fundamental turning points.
