Copyright,Internet e misure tecnologiche di protezione:è la macchina la risposta alla macchina?

The Author,in this paper,deals with the issue of copyright in the digital age.The work is an attempt to describe the ongoing battle for the ownership of digital content in the Internet with a panoramic view on the international arena,having particular attention to the United States system.The core of the study is represented by the analysis of the technological anti-copy protection measures,or DRM,the legislative framework which has been enacted to enforce such kind of copyright protection and the menace to individual rights posed by the present technology and legislation.After the description of the economical system,the new threats posed to copyright owners by the digitalization and the several interests clashing,the review illustrates the internetional legislative framework dealing with the matter and the technological solutions implemented to manage the digital right.Therefore the examination moves to the description of the negative impact of the broad implementation of technological anti-copy protection system on individual right,such as fair use,privacy and freedom of speech.The conclusion of the work is addressed to investigate alternative solutions to the existing system which may safeguard the rights of consumers and reallocate properly the economical resources.
