Abstract
Magnetically diluted systems of dithiocarbamate complexes of the type Cu-63,Cu-65/[Ni(II)-Me(II)-Dtc] (Me = Zn, Cd, Hg;Dtc = MDtc (dimethyl- ) or EDtc (diethyldithiocarbamate)), which model the structural hetero geneity on the local, molecular and supramolecular levels, have been p repared and studied by means of ESR and solid state C-13 and N-15 CP/M AS NMR spectroscopy. Three possible structures of these dithiocarbamat e complexes were unambiguously: identified in the composition of the s amples under investigation: (i) the mononuclear square-planar, Ni(Dtc) (2); (ii) dinuclear with non-planar molecular configurations, Me-2(Dtc )(4) and (iii) heteropolynuclear complexes with a common composition o f Me-2(Dtc)(4). nNi(Dtc)(2) (n = 1-4; Me = Zn, Cd, Hg). The latter is a newly proposed type of structure of dithiocarbamate complexes in the matrix of the model systems. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All right s reserved.
