Abstract
We present theoretical calculations for two-photon detachment rates an d asymmetry parameters of H- for energies below 1 eV. The calculated a symmetry parameters compare very well with values determined in a rece nt experimental work. This is the first time that this kind of compari son has been made for H-, which reinforces the predictive value of pre vious theoretical works on the two-photon detachment of H- for which e xperiments are still lacking.
