G. Ryzhikh et J. Mitroy, THE GROUND-STATE OF POSITRONIC COPPER, Journal of physics. B, Atomic molecular and optical physics (Print), 31(19), 1998, pp. 4459-4466
A frozen core model of atomic copper is developed with the core consis
ting of the 1s-3d shells. The model is validated by predictions of the
electron affinity and binding energies of neutral Cu. The model is us
ed to predict the existence of an electronically stable ground state o
f Cue(+) with a binding energy of 0.005 518 Hartree and a spin-average
d 2 gamma annihilation rate of 0.576 x 10(9) s(-1).
