Va. Nikolaenko et al., THE INFLUENCE OF GAMMA-RAYS ON THE PROPERTIES OF MATERIALS IN REACTORIRRADIATION, Russian metallurgy. Metally, (2), 1998, pp. 133-138
Experimental data are presented on the influence of the irradiation te
mperature on the radiational gamma annealing of defects in diamond, gr
aphite, and housing steel. At high irradiation temperatures (up to 500
degrees C), the influence of gamma radiation is relatively high. The
neutron flux required for specified change in properties of the materi
al may vary by tens and even hundreds of percent with variation in the
gamma flux density.
