Abstract
Two novel marching techniques for radar cross-section calculation of t hree-dimensional perfectly conducting objects are discussed: the vecto r parabolic equation and the current marching technique. They provide substantial speed-up since the solution is marched through the computa tional domain plane by plane instead of treating all the points simult aneously.
