Abstract
We describe the synthesis of benzo-, dibenzo- and naphthoquinolines su bstituted by alkyl-, arylamino or a NH2 group from irradiation of 3-na phthyl- and 3-phenanthryl-2-alkene imines under mild reaction conditio ns. This reaction is suitable for the preparation of four-ring aminoaz apolycyclic compounds containing a nonaromatic ring. The compounds obt ained can potentially be used in medicinal chemistry.
