The maxit Group brought a new, dry, factory-mixed mortar works on stre
am in May 1997 in the Brandenburg municipality of Klein-Schulzendorf t
o the south of Berlin. The works has an annual production capacity of
250 000 tonnes, and must be one of the largest and most modern dry, fa
ctory-mixed mortar works in Europe. Because of the weather conditions
the equipment was fully enclosed. The works has a very flexible sand p
rocessing system. Two bulk loading systems and a packing plant with 6-
spout rotary packer and palletizing plant are supplied from a finished
product silo with a capacity of 6 x 150 m(3). In addition to 40 stand
ard products the works also produces special products and is controlle
d from a central control room.
