Abstract
The maxit Group brought a new, dry, factory-mixed mortar works on stre am in May 1997 in the Brandenburg municipality of Klein-Schulzendorf t o the south of Berlin. The works has an annual production capacity of 250 000 tonnes, and must be one of the largest and most modern dry, fa ctory-mixed mortar works in Europe. Because of the weather conditions the equipment was fully enclosed. The works has a very flexible sand p rocessing system. Two bulk loading systems and a packing plant with 6- spout rotary packer and palletizing plant are supplied from a finished product silo with a capacity of 6 x 150 m(3). In addition to 40 stand ard products the works also produces special products and is controlle d from a central control room.
