Abstract
The phase diagram of ternary system LaCl3-NaCl-LiCl has been construct ed. Eight vertical sections were studied by means of DTA and it was co nfirmed by XRD that there is no intermediate compounds in the LiCl-NaC l system. It was found that there are two liquidus surfaces correspond ing to the primary crystallization of LaCl3, (Na,Li)Cl(ss) respectivel y, two univariant curves related to the secondary crystallization and one minimum curve, one ternary minimum point M (444 degrees C; LaCl3 5 8.4 wt %, NaCl 15.36 wt %, LiCl 26.04 wt %).
