Abstract
The charge transfer (CT) compounds of [2.2.2.2]paracyclophane with SbB r3 and BiBr3 of formula SbBr3:[2.2.2.2]paracyclophane (1) and Bi2Br6:[ 2.2.2.2]paracyclophane:toluene (2) have been synthesized and character ized by crystallographic and spectroscopic analyses. Both compounds ar e characterized by long interactions between the metal and the aromati c rings of [2.2.2.2]paracyclophane.
