Abstract
A 23-year-old primigravida with Lemierre's syndrome developed pericard ial tamponade secondary to mediastinal infection and anticoagulant the rapy. Intrathoracic echocardiographic diagnosis during a period of car diac arrest led to urgent pericardiocentesis and successful resuscitat ion.
