Abstract
The elements of the design of the X-MOSS (X-ray magneto-optics and sur face science) beamline, to be installed at a bending magnet of the ELE TTRA synchrotron radiation facility, are presented. The beamline is in tended for optical study (reflectivity and absorption) of low-dimensio nal systems, typically surfaces and interfaces, with emphasis on magne tic systems. The optical range will extend from visible up to similar to 1400 eV with full control of linear and circular polarisation.
