FLY-ASH CRM-490 - A NEW BCR CERTIFIED REFERENCE MATERIAL FOR PCDD PCDF ANALYSIS/

The preparation, homogeneity and stability of a fly ash reference mate rial and the subsequent certification of the mass fraction of five pol ychlorodibenzo-p-dioxins and seven polychlorodibenzofurans are describ ed. The material, BCR CRM 490, is intended for use in the method valid ation and quality control for congener-specific determination of dioxi ns. The certification was based on an interlaboratory study. A summary of the analytical techniques used and the quality control guidelines followed is presented, together with the evaluation of the results. (C )1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved
