Abstract
A method for calculating the energies of electronic states arising fro m a degenerate open shell gamma(N) in terms of integral invariants H-k (gamma, gamma) is presented. The calculation proceeds from expansions for the electron repulsion integrals [m (m) under bar\n (n) under bar] on degenerate orbitals of gamma symmetry in terms of H-k(gamma, gamma ). The energies of states for the gamma(N) electronic configurations w ith dim gamma less than or equal to 3 (e(N) and t(N) configurations) a re tabulated.
