Abstract
We investigate the sub-Doppler Lines of C-133(2), using the FM spectro scopy and stabilize the 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser to C-133(2), lines. We me asure the absolute frequencies of thirty-one transitions of Cs-133(2) with respect to a frequency-doubled Nd:YAG/I-2 reference. Our measurem ents have an accuracy of 120 kHz. Our results show a discrepancy of 2 MHz with respect to previous work. This indicates that the reproducibi lity of Cs-133(2)-locked Nd:YAG laser is worse than 1 MHz although it shows good stability (better than I x 10(-10)). These measurements pro vide a well-distributed reference line within the tuning range of a Nd :YAG laser near 1064 nm. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights res erved.
