Abstract
We demonstrate a simple method to measure mean electric dipole moments of fundamental transitions by analysing laser propagation delays in a near resonant vapour. Adequate accuracy is obtained by setting the va pour between two high reflectivity mirrors in a multipath configuratio n scheme. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
