Abstract
The hydrogenation properties of C15 compounds are controlled by crysta l structure, the size of the interstitial hole being an especially imp ortant factor. Its effect on the hydrogenation properties of MgCu2 sub stituted with rare earth elements of various radii is discussed and th e limit in controlling the crystal structure by conventional substitut ion is explained.
